From the moment we laid our eyes on this precious fluffy boy, we knew he had to come home with us. He was a menace at first, chewing up multiple dog beds, blankets, and sometimes our clothes (Lol), but we loved him from day one. That love only grew stronger over the next 13 years. A bond was made that could not be broken. He enjoyed every second of life, especially playing rough with his brother Dash in the yard (we nicknamed him Bullet the Bully because he always pushed him around or out of the way to steal the spotlight). Bullet loved Camping, Walks, and Car/Truck/SxS rides. His mom even bought him his own car seat and stroller, which I rolled my eyes to at the time, but boy did he love them! His favorite thing was coming inside after going potty and waiting patiently until he got his treat. His dark brown eyes staring endlessly until he got “The goods” (Lol). He had many favorite toys throughout the years, but he was especially fond of a homemade toy from Grandma and his other favorites were the hide a squirrel or the infamous plush duck. Bullet was absolutely spoiled from day one, toys at every trip to Walmart or Petco. We had some scares with the little guy along the way, emergency trips to the Vet office on more than one occasion, and the majority of the time he still had a smile or smirk on his face. Regardless of the situation, good or bad, he always lit up the room and was the center of attention. Bullet was a fighter. Through all the vet visits and medical scares, he pulled through them all tail wagging, ears perked up, and smiling or smirking away. Bullet left us on 8/25/2025 only 10 days after he was diagnosed with cancer. In our hearts, he won this battle. He smiled and smirked and wagged his fluffy tail until the bitter end. He enjoyed one last walk in his stroller (no eye roll from Dad this time, Ha!) and got to see the sunrise before returning home. He knew his time had come and was surrounded by his loved ones. We held him tightly and he knew without a doubt he was loved and whether we were ready or not we whispered in his ear it was ok to go. He passed away peacefully shortly after and a prayer followed. He will be greatly missed. We couldn’t have asked for such an amazing and loyal fur baby to bless our family and home all these years.
Rest in Peace, Mister Bullet. We will always be with you and our LOVE for you will never fade. This is not goodbye, it’s only a see you later. Until then, enjoy that beautiful dog park in the sky and run FREE!!!
Your forever family,
Josh, Lesli and Mr. Dashers
